Alexander Henton was Principal Horn of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra in Japan from August 2014- August 2017. He also was on trial as Principal Horn with the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra in China from May 2018-July 2018.

Alexander is from Chippewa Falls Wisconsin and graduated high school from the Interlochen Arts Academy.  He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Horn Performance and Music Theory from Temple University.  For graduate study he went to New England Conservatory and earned his Master's degree in Horn Performance.

Outside of school Alexander has performed at the Hot Springs Music Festival, Audition Mode, as a Woodwind Quintet Fellowship recipient at Bowdoin International Music Festival and in a festival in Siena, Italy that no longer exists.

Alexander has been lucky to have had many great teachers and influences in his education, and is grateful for everyone that has ever taught him.  He owes the most to Jeffrey Lang and Denise Tryon, who both not only taught the horn, but life as well.  He has played in masterclasses for Karl Pituch, Dale Clevenger and Frøydis Ree Wekre.
